Current Context: The 2021 Energy Transition Index (ETI) was released by World Economic Forum (WEF).
WEF Global Energy Transition Index 2021
  • The report was published in partnership with Accenture.
  • As per the index, India is ranked at 87th position among 115 countries with a score of 53.
  • The index is topped by Sweden.
  • The second and third ranks are marked by Norway and Denmark respectively.
  • The index was drafted by considering 3 dimensions namely: (a) Economic Development and Growth (b) Environmental Sustainability (c) Energy Security and Accessibility.
