Current Context: The Economist Intelligence Unit in partnership with Facebook has released the Inclusive Internet Index 2021.

• As per the index, India is ranked at 49th rank position.
• India has scored 77th position in internet availability, 20th position in affordability and 49th position in relevance and 29th position in readiness
• The top 5 countries in the index ranks are: Sweden (1st), The US (2nd), Spain (3rd), Australia (4th) and Hong Kong (5th)
• Total 120 countries are ranked in the index representing 98% of global GDP and 96% of the global population
