Current Context: The Chief Justice of India S A Bobde, unveiled the Artificial Intelligence (AI) portal of Supreme Court India via video conference.

• The AI portal is named as ‘Supreme Court Portal for Assistance in Court’s Efficiency (SUPACE)’.
• The AI based portal is a 1st of its kind in the world that will collect relevant facts and laws related to the case.
• This will lead to ease the research process of judges and will also reduce their workload.
• Through this portal, the SC aims to leverage machine learning to handle a large amount of data related to cases.
