Gujarat CM launched ‘Agricultural Diversification Scheme-2021’

Current Context: The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani launched the ‘Agricultural Diversification Scheme-2021’ in a virtual manner.

• The scheme aims to make agriculture sustainable and profitable in the tribal areas of the state.
• It will benefit more than 1.26 lakh, vanbandhu farmers, from tribal areas of the state.
• Under the scheme, the state government will distribute fertilizer-seed assistance worth Rs 31 crores to tribal farmers.
• It will be comprised of 45 kg of urea, 50 kg of NPK and 50 kg of ammonium sulphate.
• Also the seeds of Maize, Karela, Calabash , tomato and millet will be provided to the farmers so that they can cultivate them.
