Current Context: The government of Kerala launched the ‘Knowledge Economy Mission’.
Knowledge Economy Mission-- Kerala
  • The mission aims to enhance job prospects in the state by supporting knowledge workers.
  • The mission is headed by Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) and they will submit the report describing mission work progress before 15th July.
  • The mission is basically a single programme under which efforts will be taken to provide employment to educated people and support ‘knowledge workers’.
  • Under the mission, basic facilities and social security system for knowledge workers who are working close to their homes and interacting with employers will be provided.
  • The funds for the mission will be allotted through a ‘knowledge economy fund’.
