NTPC joined United Nations Global Compact’s CEO Water Mandate

Current Context: The NTPC Ltd (National Thermal Power Corporation Limited) has signed up to the prestigious United Nations Global Compact’s CEO Water Mandate.

• The CEO Water Mandate is a UN Global Compact initiative that analyses the efforts and commitments made by companies to maintain their water and sanitation objectives in order to attain Sustainable Development Goals.
• It was developed to guide the companies to implement and develop water management strategies and frame policies for the same.
• The CEO Water Mandate is a platform through which the companies can enter into partnership with alike businesses, UN agencies, public firms, civil society firms and stakeholders to work to maintain their water and sanitation objectives.
