Current Context: The Ministry of Tribal Affairs have joined hands with NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training).
Tribal Ministry partnered with NCERT
  • They have collaborated to fulfil the objective of the ministry to attain academic excellence in Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs).
  • Both the entities will attain excellence among 120 EMRS teachers and principals of 3 states which completed 40 days’ NISHTHA programme called as National initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement Program.
  • They will work for NISHTHA Capacity Building Programme for EMRS Principals and Teachers.
  • They will also develop competencies among teachers and school principals and will work to improve the quality of education through Integrated Teacher Training.
  • The first batch of 120 EMRS teachers and principals were selected from 3 states viz., Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and were trained on 18 holistic and comprehensive modules like Learning Outcomes, Assessment Practices, learner-centred pedagogy, Art-Integrated Learning, Gender Equality, Covid Response of Schools, POCSO Act, Pedagogy of Science, Mathematics, Language, Social Science Subjects etc.
