Two Schemes launched in Bihar for Youth and Women

Current Context: The Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar launched two ambitious schemes to support the youth and women of the state.

• The two schemes are: (1) ‘Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyaymi Yojna' (2) 'Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyami Yojna'.
• Main objective of both the schemes is to promote entrepreneurship among youth and women of all sections under the state's 'Mukhaya Mantri Udyami Yojna' scheme.
• (1) ‘Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyaymi Yojna': Under this scheme, the unemployed youth of the state, will be granted Rs 10 lakh support to commence an enterprise or industry or business. Out of Rs 10 lakhs, Rs 5 lakh will be the subsidy amount and the remaining Rs 5 lakh will be the loan amount having the simple interest of 1% which is to return in instalments.
• (2) 'Mukhaya Mantri Udyami Yojna': Under this, the unemployed women of the state will be granted Rs 10 lakh support to commence an enterprise or industry or business. Out of Rs 10 lakhs, Rs 5 lakh will be the subsidy amount that women do not have to return and the remaining Rs 5 lakh will be an interest-free loan.
