- The Abhiyan was launched to make people of the state aware of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
- The translation of ‘Yuva Shakti Corona Mukti Abhiyan’is ‘free from Corona with the help of the youth power campaign’.
- The campaign was basically launched by the higher education and the technical education department of the state in partnership with the public healthcare and family welfare department of the state.
- The trainings to the lead colleges of the districts, principles of polytechnics, engineering colleges and district vaccination officer were given by Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Anupam Ranjan and Secretary, Technical Education, Mukesh Gupta; State-level officials of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and UNICEF.
- Under this campaign, students from the colleges will form groups and they will be given information about the impact of COVID and the importance of vaccination. These trained groups will further provide information to their families and the people in the surrounding areas about the benefits of vaccination and the prevention of COVID.
