6th BRICS Culture Ministers Meeting 2021

Current Context: The 6th edition of BRICS Culture Ministers Meeting was held in a virtual manner. The meet was hosted by India.

• The meeting was chaired by Minister of State (IC) for Culture and Tourism, Prahlad Singh Patel.
• Theme of the meeting: Bonding and Harmonizing Cultural Synergy.
• The dignitaries held discussions to exchange the knowledge of culture and assured to protect the cultural heritage of the respective countries.
• The proposal was presented to conserve and preserve ancient manuscripts through digital means.
• The dignitaries assured to use of digital technologies to conserve cultural heritage by activities like virtual museums, arts, theatres etc.
