  • Indian Navy signed MoU with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to develop the Technology Incubation Forum which will allow boosting the development of emerging technologies. The technological development will take place under weapons, sensors, AI, ML, quantum computing etc.
  • The CM of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the ‘YSR Bima’ scheme with new guidelines. Under this, the government itself will directly pay the insurance amount to the family of the deceased in order to make the insurance claims easier. The scheme will support 1.32 lakh families and the amount of Rs 750 crores for the year 2021-22 is allocated for the scheme. In the last two years, the State government had spent Rs 1307 crore for YSR Bima.

  • ‘Demand Side Management (DSM) AC Scheme’: It was launched by the Power Minister of Haryana, Ranjit Singh Chautala. The scheme was launched for the people of rural and urban areas in order to promote energy conservation. Under this scheme, people can purchase new ACs by exchanging the old ones. In the case of urban areas, the subsidy of Rs 2000 will be provided by the state government to buy new AC and Rs 4000 on replacement of the old AC. In the case of rural areas, a subsidy of Rs 4000 will be provided and Rs 8000 on replacement of the old AC. The warranty on compressors for upto 10 years will be granted
