CII’s 2nd ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat Renewable Energy Manufacturing’

Current Context: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) arranged the 2nd edition of the Conference and Exhibition of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat- Self Reliance for Renewable Energy Manufacturing’ in a virtual manner.

• For this conference and exhibition, CII had partnered with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
• It was arranged under the RE-INVEST agenda.
• The exhibition showcased the latest trends and innovations from Renewable Energy World.
• The dignitaries mentioned that India has emerged as a world leader in Energy Transition. And has set a target to reduce carbon emission to 33% by 2030 as a part of the Paris Agreement.
• India aims to attain 450 GW of Renewable Energy capacity by 2030.
• The report titled ‘A Roadmap for Self-Reliance in RE Manufacturing’ was also released by CII in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt Ltd (PwC).
