- The Bharat Series (BH-series) mark for new vehicles will enable seamless transfer of personal vehicles across states in the country.
- The vehicles which are having a BH series mark will not require the assignment of a new registration mark when the owner of the vehicle shifts from one state to another.
- The registration facility for the same will be available on a voluntary basis to defense personnel, employees of central government/ state government/ central/ state public sector undertakings, and private sector companies/organisations, which have their offices in four or more states/union territories. This too will be applied to new vehicles only.
- Format for the BH series Registration mark: YY BH #### XX.
- (where, YY- Year of first registration, BH- Bharat Series code, ####-000 to 9999 (randomized), XX- Alphabets (AA to ZZ))
- The registration mark will be generated through an online portal in a random manner.
- The motor vehicle tax will be levied for two years or in multiple of two.
- And upon completing the fourteenth year, the motor vehicle tax will be levied annually. In this case, it will be half of the amount which was charged earlier for that vehicle.
