Germany—5th Country to sign ISA Framework Agreement

Current Context: Germany has entered into a Framework Agreement of International Solar Alliance (ISA).

• Thus, Germany has become 5th nation to sign ISA.
• The country signed an agreement with ISA after amendments to it of opening its Membership to all Member States of the United Nations.
• The signed agreement copies were submitted by Ambassador of Germany to India, Walter J. Lindner with the Ministry of External Affairs, GOI.
• The ISA is an action-oriented platform that is driven by its members to increase deployment and usage of solar energy technologies which will enhance energy security, sustainable development, and access to energy.
