- The scheme was launched with the aim to motivate the youth of the state towards self-employment.
- Under the scheme, a chain of grocery shops will be opened in rural and urban areas to sell quality products of daily needs at affordable prices.
- During the 1st phase of the scheme, around 1,500 stores will be opened in rural areas and 500 in urban areas. The scheme has set the target to open 5000 stores in the 2nd phase.
- To execute the ‘Har Hith store’ Scheme, the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited (HAICL) has signed terms of a trade agreement with 51 corporate houses which will offer their quality based products to these stores set up under the scheme.
- The HAICL will allot one franchise of 200 sq ft area for a village with a population of 3,000, at least one for each ward in the municipal corporation and at least one in a group of wards having a cumulative population of 10,000 in municipal committee/council.
- The IT support will also be offered to these stores.
- The scheme will not only benefit youth but will also benefit MSMEs, government cooperative institutions, FPOs and SHGs.
- The CM also launched the Franchise Policy, through which those who are interested can apply as per the norms.
- The preference will be given to the people between 18 to 34 years, women, persons with disabilities and those who are certified under Mukhyamantri Parivar Uthan Yojana.
- The preference will also be given to the youth belonging to the families having annual income less than Rs 1.80 lakhs and are verified under the Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme.
- The monthly income of atleast Rs 15,000 will be offered to those who are operating the stores through this scheme and are verified under Mukhyamantri Parivar Uthan Yojana.
