Current Context: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched India’s first ‘Quantum Computer Simulator (QSim) Toolkit’.
India’s First ‘Quantum Computer Simulator (QSim) Toolkit’
  • It is the first-of-its-kind toolkit developed to be the major tool of learning programming skills using Quantum Computers.
  • It is jointly developed by scientists and experts of IIT Roorkee, C-DAC, and IISc Bangalore.
  • The QSim toolkit will generate a new era of Quantum Computing research activities in the country and will stand up India’s name in the Quantum Computing world.
  • Due to the toolkit, the researchers and students will be able to perform research activities in Quantum Computing in a cost-effective manner.
  • The toolkit will enable them to write and execute Quantum Code which is required to frame Quantum Algorithms.
  • It indulges with Intuitive User Interface which provides robust Quantum Computer Simulator with a Graphical User Interface based Workbench in an integrated manner. This integrated approach enables the students and researchers to develop programs in Quantum and immediately visualize them through circuit generation simulated outputs.
