Current Context: The undertaking of the Assam Government named Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited (AMTRON) has partnered with ibus Networks and Infrastructure Private Limited (iBUS).

• The AMTRON has appointed iBus as its business partner to deploy and manage digital infrastructure.
• Both the entities will offer better connectivity solutions like IT Park, hospitals, SEZs, and other commercial zones with digital touch to them.
• They will jointly identify business opportunities and then will deploy digital infrastructure to those opportunities.
• Both the entities aim to contribute to Digital India moto.
• They will provide better access to internet services in Assam.
