AREAS signed MoU with Three Institutions

Current Context: The Association of Renewable Energy of States (AREAS) entered into MoU with the three institutions namely: National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), and Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-Energy (SSS - NIBE).

• These institutions come under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
• The MoU was signed to promote cooperation in renewable energy technologies in India.
• The MoU was signed during the 7th Foundation Day of AREAS.
• On the same occasion, AREAS Telephone Directory 2021 was also launched.
• The MoU will help to attain the target of 450 GW of installed renewable energy capacity in the country by 2030.
• The entities will work to explore innovative technologies and solutions for the purpose of renewable energy capacity addition.
