- The major focus of the mission is on the widows coming from rural areas, poor backgrounds, and deprived sections.
- The mission covers the schemes like Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana, Shravanbal Seva State Pension Scheme, Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme and Gharkul Yojana, etc. to offer support to the widows.
- Around 8,661 women have applied for the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Anudan Yojana, 405 for the Shravanbal Seva State Pension Scheme, 71 for the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme, 1,209 women for the Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme, and 3 for Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme.
- Uptil now, 10,349 applications are received for the mission.
- To execute the mission, department staff, child development project officers, local unit officers, and anganwadi sevika are appointed who will make door-to-door visits and will grant the support.
