IIT Kanpur signed MoU with IAF

Current Context: The IIT Kanpur has signed MoU with Indian Air Force (IAF).

• The MoU was signed for collaboration in the academic and research sector, particularly in the aerospace technology domain.
• The MoU was also signed to set up Air Vice Marshal Harjinder Singh Chair of Excellence.
• The centre will promote teaching, research, and technology development in Aerospace technologies, Aircraft Structural Integrity & Aircraft Health Monitoring.
• Both the entities will develop robust technologies both in the academic and research domains in Aerospace Technology.
• The MoU will grant long-term partnership in the area of shared experience, shared technical knowledge and foster development in the domain of Aerospace Technology.
• The MoU will also grant research degrees to Ph.D. scholars working in IIT Kanpur under the Aerospace Technology domain.
