Current Context: India has signed an MoU with Nepal for the purpose of a construction project conducted in Nepal.

  • The MoU was signed to reconstruct 14 cultural heritage projects and 103 health projects in Nepal.
  • The construction project was signed between the Indian Embassy in Nepal and Nepal's Central Level Project Implementation Unit (Building) of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA).
  • The main moto of the construction project is to rebuild the national heritage sites of Nepal which were severely affected and damaged due to the 2015 earthquakes.
  • The total estimated cost of the construction project is 420 crore Nepalese Rupees.
