‘जनCARE’- AmritGrand Challenge Program

Current Context: The AmritGrand Challenge Program named ‘जनCARE’ was launched.

• It was launched by Union Minister of State (IC) Science & Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh.
• The challenge was launched as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
• The challenge will identify 75 Start-Up and entrepreneurs, who have innovative solutions and ideas which will help to solve healthcare challenges and transform the healthcare sector of the country.
• The solution and ideas must be able to work in Low Resource Settings and strengthen Healthcare Delivery in India.
• The challenge was launched by Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), NASSCOM, and NASSCOM Foundation.
• The challenge is termed as ‘Discover – Design – Scale’ program.
• The ‘जनCARE’ will identify startups and entrepreneurs working in the areas like Telemedicine, Digital Health, mHealth with BIG Data, AI, BlockChain, and others.
• The challenge will be held till 31st Dec 2021.
