Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (KVGB): It has won two national awards namely ‘APY Big Believers’ and ‘Leadership capital’ for their highlighting role for the enrolment under the Atal Pension Yojana (APY). The awards were given by Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).

Tata Group won the bid to buy Air India for Rs 18,000 crore. It will now own 100% in Air India as also 100% in its subsidiary Air India Express and 50% in the joint venture Air India SATS.
The World Bank projected that India’s GDP for the fiscal year 2021-22 to grow by 8.3% in its update on South Asia which is titled ‘Shifting Gears: Digitization and Services-led Development’. For FY 2022-23, it has projected the growth at 7.5% for India.

Nobel Prize in Peace 2021: It is won by Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov for their efforts to safeguard freedom of expression, which is a precondition for democracy and lasting peace. Maria Ressa used freedom of expression to expose abuse of power, use of violence, and growing authoritarianism in the Philippines and Dmitry Muratov used freedom of speech in Russia under increasingly challenging conditions.
