‘UFill’-- BPCL

Current Context: The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has launched ‘UFill’.

• The ‘UFill’ is an automated fueling technology.
• The technology will ensure that the customers avail better experience at outlets.
• The technology provides customers with control of fueling at outlets, which grants them a swift, secure and smart experience.
• The ‘UFill’ obviates the need to look at zero or final reading or any such offline manual interventions. This is because the customers are given complete control over Time, Technology, and Transparency in the fueling process.
• The technology can be used with payment apps like GPay, PayTM, PhonePe, etc.
• It provides real-time QR and voucher codes via the SMS platform.
• If the customers make payment in advance and there is partial use of the advanced payment, then the balance amount is immediately refunded to the customer’s bank account. This happens because of ‘UFill’.
• Uptil now, the technology is launched in 65 cities of India and will soon be launched in the entire country.
