Current Context: The trilateral Exercise named ‘Dosti’ was held recently in India, Maldives, and Sri Lanka.
15th ‘Dosti’ Exercise
  • The coast guards of three nations conducted the exercise with the aim to enhance interoperability and cooperation.
  • It was the 15th edition of ‘Dost’ and was held in Maldives.
  • From India’s side, ICG Vessels Vajra and Apoorva were deployed to take part in the exercise.
  • The ‘Dosti’ Exercise helps to booth the friendly relation and their operational capabilities among the three nations.
  • The 1st edition was held in 1991 between India and Maldives and in 2012, Sri Lanka joined in the exercise.
