Current Context: The 2021 TRACE Bribery Risk Matrix ranking was released by TRACE International.

• It measures business bribery risks for every country.
• India is ranked at 82nd position with a risk score of 44 in the 2021 TRACE Bribery Risk Matrix.
• India ranked at 77th position in last year’s ranking for the same, thus India has slipped five places down in the ranking.
• The 1st position was marked by Denmark with a risk score of 2.
• The 2nd and 3rd positions were marked by Norway and Sweden respectively.
• The last position i.e. 194th was marked by North Korea.
• The score ranged between 1 and 100, the higher value indicates a higher degree of bribery risk.
