  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released new rules and norms for Private Banks. The central bank has increased the cap on the stake of promoters in banks from 15% to 26%. The central bank is still analyzing if industrial houses should be allowed to run banks as per the recommendations from the internal working group which is headed by the director of the central board of the RBI, Prasanna Kumar Mohanty.
  • Saurav Ghosal (India’s Squash Player): He has become the first Indian squash player to win the Malaysian Open Championships. He won in the men’s singles final of the event. The women’s singles title of the 2021 Malaysian Open squash championships was won by Malaysia’s Aifa Azman.
