Current Context: The program titled ‘Empowerment of Women through Legal Awareness’ was launched by National Commission for Women (NCW) and National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

• It is the pan-India legal awareness program to empower women.
• Under the program, practical knowledge about legal rights and remedies will be delivered under women-related laws.
• It aims to make women aware and empower about the machinery of the justice delivery system so that they can opt for redressal of their grievances.
• Under the program, training will be given to the teachers who will, in turn, give training to women to make them aware of their legal rights.
