Current Context: The government of Delhi launched the Shramik Mitra scheme.

• It was launched for construction workers in Delhi.
• The scheme aims to make aware the construction workers about the government schemes launched for them and their families.
• Under the scheme, the Shramik Mitras will make a door-to-door visit of all construction workers and will give them brief information about several government schemes which they can avail for their benefits.
• The 800 Shramik Mitras will be appointed by the government, they will be initially given training sessions.
• The Shramik Mitras will be divided to serve in District, Ward, and Vidhan Sabha regions.
