WISER Programme

Current Context: The Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC) launched the Women’s Involvement in Science & Engineering Research (WISER) Programme.

• The Programme was launched to motivate women researchers to participate in R&D activities.
• It aims to promote gender equality in the R&D domain and involve women specifically in Science and Technology.
• The program will offer 20 awards per year.
• The IGSTC is a joint initiative of the Department of Science & Technology (DST) and the Federal Ministry of Education & Research (BMBF) of Germany. It is based in Gurugram, Haryana.
