- It was flight tested off the Odisha coast. It was launched from the APJ Abdul Kalam Island.
- The ‘Pralay’ missile is developed by Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO).
- It is a solid-fuel, battlefield missile and is based on Prithvi Defence Vehicle from the Indian ballistic missile program.
- In the testing operation, the missile followed the desired quasi ballistic trajectory and reached the designated target with high degree accuracy, validating the control, guidance, and mission algorithms.
- It has a range of 150 to 500 km and is integrated with state-of-the-art navigation and integrated avionics.
