Current Context: The Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of Umiya Mata Temple and its premises.
Maa Umiya Dham Development Project
  • It was laid at the Umiya Campus in Sola in Ahmedabad in the presence of CM of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel.
  • The temple is dedicated to Maa Umiya.
  • The total funds allotted to construct the temple and other buildings is Rs 1,500 crore.
  • It will be constructed on 74,000 square yards of land.
  • Adjacent to the temple, a 13 storey complex will be constructed which will be a training and hostel facility for the Patidar youth who are preparing for UPSC exams and GPSC exams.
