NCC signed MoU with NHAI

Current Context: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) have entered into MoU.
NCC signed MoU with NHAI
  • The MoU was signed to reuse plastic wastes collected by NCC Cadets during Puneet Sagar Abhiyan and other Swachhta activities.
  • The reuse will take place for countrywide road construction which will be undertaken by NHAI.
  • The MoU was signed between Director General of NCC Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh and Chief General Manager of NHAI Mr. Sushil Kumar Mishra.
  • The recycling activities of plastic wastes will also be undertaken by IITs and NIITs.
  • These institutes along with NHAI and NCC will work to recycle plastics and use them in road construction activities.
