ONGC Signed MoU with SECI

Current Context: The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has signed an MoU with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

• They have signed MoU to boost clean energy projects and strengthen its footprint in the renewable energy sector.
• Both entities will get an overarching framework to partner and work together in renewable energy projects like solar, wind, solar parks, EV value chain, green hydrogen, storage, etc.
• The MoU was signed between Subhash Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of ONGC and Suman Sharma, Managing Director of SECI
• The ONGC has set the target to generate a minimum of 10 GW of renewable power by 2040
