Vernacular Innovation Program (VIP)

Current Context: The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog has launched the Vernacular Innovation Program (VIP).

It is the first of its kind program which been launched for innovators and entrepreneurs of India.
Under this program, innovators and entrepreneurs will be given access to the innovation ecosystem in 22 scheduled languages by GOI.
To have an exceptional capacity for the VIP, Vernacular Task Force (VTF) in each of the 22 scheduled languages will be developed by AIM.
Each task force will be having vernacular language teachers, subject experts, technical writers and they will be having leadership qualities of regional Atal Incubation Centers (AICs).
The program will work to eradicate language barriers that are particularly faced in innovation and entrepreneurship domains.
It will help to enhance the creative expression and language of the transactions in order to have innovation capabilities among the people without facing language problems.
The AIM, NITI Aayog has also partnered with the Design Department of IIT Delhi which will work to coach the VTF in design thinking and entrepreneurship and the adaptation of these subjects in the 22 languages and cultures.
