Current Context: The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will be investing in the development of data centers which will be dedicated to serving in emerging Asia.

  • Thus, AIIB will be investing $150 million for the same.
  • In this regard, AIIB will arrange funds through the Keppel Data Centre Fund II (KDCF II).
  • The KDCF II is the private equity vehicle managed by Alpha Investment Partners Limited (Alpha).
  • This investment will be AIIB’s first data center project.
  • AIIB will invest USD 100 million through parallel funds structure and USD 50 million through co-investment in KDCF II.
