  • In this regard, India has offered a USD 500 million Line of Credit (LoC) to Sri Lanka.
  • Due to this, the island nation will be able to purchase petroleum products as the nation is struggling to avail fuel and facing an energy crisis.
  • The support was granted by Union External Affairs Minister, Dr. S Jaishankar.
  • The signed document was further received by Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister, Prof. Gamini Lakshman Peiris.
