‘Kunsnyoms’ Scheme

Current Context: The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh launched the Kunsnyoms scheme.

• The scheme was launched for differently-abled persons.
• The meaning of Kunsnyom is Equal for All, Fair for All.
• The scheme aims to have inclusive and accessible Ladakh.
• The Leh Hill council will offer assistive devices and technologies to the beneficiaries at the rate of a 90% subsidy.
• Under this, 28 tri-scooters, battery-run wheelchairs, walking aids, and other required support to the differently-abled persons will be distributed.
