‘Kunsnyoms’ Scheme

Current Context: The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh launched the Kunsnyoms scheme.

‘Kunsnyoms’ Scheme

The scheme was launched for differently-abled persons.
The meaning of Kunsnyom is Equal for All, Fair for All.
The scheme aims to have inclusive and accessible Ladakh.
The Leh Hill council will offer assistive devices and technologies to the beneficiaries at the rate of a 90% subsidy.
Under this, 28 tri-scooters, battery-run wheelchairs, walking aids, and other required support to the differently-abled persons will be distributed.
