Current Context: Twitter Inc has entered into a partnership with Paytm Payments Services Limited, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Paytm which is the digital payments and financial services platform.

• The partnership was made to be a payments partner for Tips in India.
• The partnership will enhance the support for its ‘Tips’ feature in India.
• The Twitter users will be able to make use of Paytm facilities like Paytm digital wallet, Paytm Postpaid, debit and credit cards, and net banking.
• This is one of the company’s many efforts to introduce monetization on the platform.
• By using the Tips feature, users will be able to send payments to their favorite content creators on Twitter. The feature is available in various languages like Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, and Tamil.
