Current Context: The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare of the Government of India will be launching ‘Meri Policy Mere Hath’.
‘Meri Policy Mere Hath’
  • The ‘Meri Policy Mere Hath’ is a doorstep distribution drive that will grant crop insurance to the farmers for the upcoming Kharif season.
  • The drive will make sure that the farmer community is well aware and fully equipped with information about various policies, land records, claim processes, and grievances redressal.
  • The fund's support will be granted under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).
  • Financial support to the farmers suffering from crop loss or damage arising out of natural calamities will be given.
  • Static Part: 
    • Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) has recently completed 6 years of implementation on 18th Feb 2022. It was launched on 8th February 2016 at Sehore, Madhya Pradesh by PM Narendra Modi
