Current Context: CM of Assam and Meghalaya signed a historic agreement in presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

  • The agreement is for the settlement of inter-state border disputes.
  • The agreement has solved 6 out of 12 issues between Assam and Meghalaya and about 70 percent of the border has become dispute-free.
