Decentralised Waste Management Technology Park

Current Context: A Decentralised Waste Management Technology Park has been inaugurated at New Jaffrabad, East Delhi.

• Waste to Wealth Mission in collaboration with the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) inaugurated the park.
• IT has the facility for onsite processing of fresh Municipal solid waste. The pilot program consists of the following:-
• End-to-end solutions for waste management
• Semi-automated segregation of municipal solid waste
• on-site compaction and treatment of the waste
• conversion of open dumpsites to decentralized waste processing sites.
• Aim - Zero waste and zero energy which can be replicated.
• Waste to Wealth Mission is a mission of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
