Param Shakti- Petascale Supercomputer

Current Context: Param Shakti which is a Petascale Supercomputer has been dedicated to the nation under National Supercomputing Mission (NSM).

• NSM is a joint initiative of MeitY and the Department of Science and Technology.
• The supercomputer was inaugurated by Governor of West Bengal – Jagdeep Dhankar.
• This state-of-the-art supercomputing facility has 17,680 CPUs along with 44 GPUs’. It was made in pursuance of an MOU signed between IIT Kharagpur and CDAC.
