Delhi to get India's First E-Waste Eco-Park

Current Context: The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, announced that India's first e-waste eco-park will soon be established in Delhi.

• It will help to handle the increasing e-waste.
• It will perform dismantling, recycling, refurbishing, and re-manufacturing of the e-waste by using scientific and technological approaches.
• It will be developed on 20 acres of land.
• It will also have an authorized refurbishing market which will be a secondary product sale marketplace for batteries, electronic goods, laptops, chargers, mobiles, and PCs.
• By using innovative technologies, there will be environmental-safe disposal of e-waste.
• The Delhi cabinet has also agreed to devise ‘Delhi Film Policy 2022 which will promote tourism. Delhi will become a major hub for modern film-making. It will fulfill European Standards.
