Indo-Pacific Military Exchange 2022 Conference

Current Context: The Indo-Pacific Military Health Exchange (IPMHE) 2022 Conference was inaugurated by Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh.

• The conference is co-hosted by Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) and US Indo-Pacific Command.
• It is held under the theme of ‘Military healthcare in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world’.
• It is being held from 7th to 10th March 2022.
• While addressing the conference Union Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted medical service as the major entity of any defence force.
• The medical services serving in the military sector have their own valuable duties and are the vital ones to respond to natural or man-made calamities.
• Thus, the objective of the conference is to develop and enhance cooperation in the military medicine sector.
