- The launch took place by handing out Rs 5000 checks to five beneficiaries for safe motherhood.
- The scheme aims to give financial support to the women so that they can opt for good nutrition for themselves and their newborn children.
- It will help to prevent female foeticide.
- The funds of Rs 5000 will be granted to women to bring up their second girl child. That is on the birth of a second daughter, women recipients are eligible for a lump payment aid of Rs. 5,000.
- Also, the books titled ‘Kanya Vivah Yojana Coffee Table Book’ and the ‘Sakhi One Stop Centre Telephone Directory’ were released by the CM.
