Current Context: The Union Cabinet has approved the MoU between the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft e.V. (DFG) of Germany.

• The MoU was approved to enhance cooperation in the field of scientific research and technological development.
• The MoU will allow both countries to explore fields like medical sciences, perform research in toxicology, rare diseases, etc.
