Army Commanders Conference to be Held at New Delhi

Current Context: As a part of the biannual meeting (In April and October), the Army Commanders meeting is slated to take place.

• The Army commanders conference is an institutional mechanism to address the concerns of the Armed forces, their requirements, and addresses their grievances. It will also assess the niche technologies acquired and those that are to be acquired, including S-400.
• As a part of the Conference, the Army Group Insurance Fund and Army Welfare Education Society will also be on the agenda.
• The Honourable Defence Minister will also interact with the Commanders to address the concern. The Conference is also important because of the vacancy of CDS, who acts as the secretary of the Department of Military Affairs.
