Current Context: OPEN NETWORK FOR DIGITAL COMMERCE, has been rolled out in 5 cities across India.

  • In order to strengthen the e-commerce infrastructure in India, the government has come up with ONDC, which will enable the markets to have an integration giving them a large consumer base digitally.
  • As a part of a pilot project, ONDC has been rolled out in the following five big cities.
  1. Delhi NCR
  2. Bengaluru
  3. Bhopal
  4. Shilong
  5. Coimbatore
  • ONDC, will provide an enabling atmosphere for the businesses in India. The project would be rolled out in the rest of India, for a larger integrated market.
