The central government has re-nominated Satish Kashinath Marathe, Swaminathan Gurumurthy, Revathy Iyer, and Sachin Chaturvedi as part-time, non-official directors on the central board of the Reserve Bank of India.
State Bank of India launched its first state-of-the-art dedicated branch for start-ups in the country to facilitate and support them. SBI chairman Dinesh Khara launched the branch located in Koramangala, which is alongside neighboring HSR layout and Indiranagar which are the biggest start-up hubs in the city.
On the occasion of 75 years of independence as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Karnataka bank launched a new term deposit scheme called KBL Amrit Samriddhi under ACC and Fixed Deposit category. The bank will offer a 6.10% per annum interest rate on the deposit scheme with a tenure of 75 weeks (525 days).

Government appoints 11 additional judges in Punjab and Haryana high court. The new judges are Nidhi Gupta, Sanjay Vashisth, Tribhuvan Dahiya, Namit Kumar, Harkesh Manuja, Aman Chaudhary, Naresh Singh, Harsh Bunger, Jagmohan Bansal, Deepak Manchanda, and Alok Jain. The Punjab and Haryana High Court are currently functioning with just 46 judges against the sanctioned strength of 85 with around a dozen of the 46 judges set to retire in the next two years.
